About Our Cakes
HOW MUCH ARE SPECIALTY CAKES?
Pricing depends on flavor, size, style and sculpting necessary. Please keep in mind the amount of time it takes to design, bake, assemble and decorate your cake. This is a tedious job and is extremely time consuming! This is all factored into the price of your cake. We require a non-refundable deposit of 1/2 of your cake total when booking your specialty custom cake. A true quote is easiest when you call and explain what style and flavor you would like and how many people you plan to serve. There's just no way to ballpark it blind. If you are willing to share your budget, we can work together to come up with a fabulous design that will impress your guests without breaking the bank.
Do you make gluten-free cakes?
No but you can contact our friends at Hannah's Gluten-Free Bakery. They offer a variety of dessert items available such as cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cinnamon rolls and breads.
Do you deliver?
Limited Deliveries are available for fragile, specialty cakes over $50 for $20 within a 15 mile range. Anything over the 15 miles will be $2.00 per mile additional fee.
Do you ship your cakes?
Unfortunately, we do NOT ship cakes. We DO, however ship our CAKE IN A JAR, cake push-ups and cookies!
Tastings and Ordering
We offer a free cake tasting for Weddings and Quinceanera's ONLY which consists of 3 flavors to sample. Please your order bring in any pictures, invitations, etc., that may help us come up with something perfect for your event. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best days for tastings but we will do our best to work around your schedule.
*You must make an appointment. No drops in please.
How can I order a cake, cupcakes or cookies?
You can call us or send an email. We recommend you send us over ALL the details of your event on our Contact page (date, time, theme, colors, flavors, amount of servings needed, etc.) We will review your submission and get back to you with a quote within 48 hours. For faster service, give us a call 972-289-2253. Remember, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Do you have a retail store where I can walk in and purchase cupcakes or view your work?
No we closed our retail location so now we are a home-based business. We are open Tuesday -Friday from 10am-6:30pm, Saturdays are for pickups and deliveries only and CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays. If it’s pictures you want to see, we have almost ALL of our work featured online on Facebook for you to browse through, so there’s really no need to come in person.
How early should I place my order?
A cake order should be placed as soon as you have finalized all the details of your event (colors, theme, design, amount of servings, etc.). We highly recommend ordering at least a week or two weeks in advance to assure you have your desired cake. If time permits, we will try our best to accommodate last minute orders.
Deposits, Booking and Cancellations
Is a deposit required when placing an order?
Yes. We require a non-refundable 50% deposit to book your order.
After we discuss the details of your event and decide on a cake that you like, if you are interested in booking and would like to proceed, we would require a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your date. The remaining balance can be paid at pickup. The balance and deposit are NON-REFUNDABLE. No refunds available on money paid toward cake purchases.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept credit cards, Zelle, PayPal, Cash App and cash only.
What is your refund/cancellation policy?
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due upon order placement. No refunds available on money paid toward cake purchases. In the event of a cancellation, we do provide a store credit for a future purchase. This must be used in one calendar year. *Please understand that when you book an order, we decline other orders. If you cancel, that could result in hundreds of dollars lost, just to accommodate your order (obviously, whether you cancel or not).
If you or your representative elects to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Delicious Designs Cakes & More's possession.
